Does Browse Folder scan subfolders?

Yes — all levels deep. Select your top-level Movies folder and every video file inside it will be found, regardless of how many subfolders deep it lives.

What if the wrong movie is matched?

Double-click the result in the preview list to open a manual TMDB search. Type the correct title and pick from the results.

Does it modify the video file itself?

No. Only the filename and folder name are changed. The video data inside the file is never touched.

Can I undo a rename?

Yes. Press Ctrl+Z or click the Undo Last button to reverse the most recent batch.

Troubleshooting

TMDB API key not working

• Make sure you're using the v3 API key (not the Bearer token).
• Check for extra spaces when pasting.

Permission denied when renaming

• Ensure you have write permissions to the folder.
• On Windows, try running the app as administrator.

Media Server Integration

• Kodi: Scan your library in Kodi after renaming.
• Plex: Use the Movie Name (Year) format. Scan the Plex library to pick up changes.
• Jellyfin: Follows the same conventions as Plex. Run a library scan to update.
